November 7 Update – Interesting Perspective on Healing

Hi folks

Yesterday brought about an interesting revelation – thanks to another article by Chuck Bowman and one we instinctively knew along but we now see in a new light and it brings to the fore a parallel to Christs “Parable of the Sower” which brings the all important principle that ALL treatments will come to naught if the body is not ready, willing and able to receive the treatment.  But you say, what do you mean, by ready, willing and able?  The body cells in normal situations is governed by the parasymphatetic nervous system wherein all cellular functions proceed as normal in terms of nutrition intake, oxygenation, etc.  However, under STRESS, and I underscore the word “STRESS”, the body cells are controlled by the symphatetic nervous system to allow the entire body to respond in “fight or flight mode” wherein the cells go into shutdown mode and performs its tasks ANAEROBICALLY ready to react in “fight or flight”.  What triggers this mode is the individual’s reaction to external circumstances and HOW it interprets the external circumstances triggers the “STRESS” reaction.  Example, you live in California and you sense a Richter 8.5 earthquake, everything around you is shaking and you react accordingly – creating a STRESS reaction.  Another example, your boss calls you into his office for a field failure that you are responsible for and you know his reaction will not be good – your hands get clammy, you start breathing fast, you break into a cold sweat etc. – another stress reaction.  Yet another example, you harbor feelings of resentment and unforgiveness over being rejected by someone you love and you are angry, and harbor feelings of anger, and you feel internal rage over the situation and manifests in a nervous habit or palpitation or lack of sleep – another stress reaction.  The point is, when the body reacts to the stress and activates the sympathetic nervous system and then subsequently return to normal mode (para symphatetic nervous system) then it is OK and it is sustainable and no harmful effects arise.  However, the converse is also true.  Extended periods of operation in the sympathetic mode will trigger a disease prone mode as the body at the cellular level cannot accept the nutrients we give it.  The spiritual parallel to the parable of the sower is obvious.

“And when much people were gathered together, and were come to him out of every city, he spake by a parable: a sower went out to sow his seed: and as he sowed, some fell by the way side; and it was trodden down, and the fowls of the air devoured it. And some fell upon a rock; and as soon as it was sprung up, it withered away, because it lacked moisture. And some fell among thorns; and the thorns sprang up with it, and choked it. And other fell on good ground, and sprang up, and bare fruit an hundredfold. And when he had said these things, he cried, He that hath ears to hear, let him hear.”—Luke 8:4-8.

The important and essential thing is to be fertile ground.  The fertile ground both accepts the instruction, and admonition of God.  The fertile ground is open and receptive to treatment.  All the treatment in the world is a waste unless the body is fertile enough to receive it.  This is the bible lesson of the day.
